(Cleveland) – Police say a middle school student escaped a kidnapper Tuesday.

At 7:55 a.m., a 13-year-old black male from Holy Name School l at 8326 Broadway stated that he was dropped off by his mother,.and was then approached by a male who grabbed him from behind and dragged him to a vehicle.

The teen claims he was forced into the back seat of the vehicle and then forced to ingest drugs at knife point. The suspect then left the scene with him in the rear seat of the vehicle and traveled northbound on Broadway.

In the area of Broadway and Union, the teen says he found a beer bottle on the rear floorboard of the vehicle and threw it at the suspect. The bottle broke on the steering wheel which allowed the victim to escape through the rear door.

The victim then fled a relative’s home.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’9”, 200 lbs, muscular build, unknown age, low haircut, wearing a red Chicago Bulls baseball cap with Bull's logo on the front, beige cargo pants, black zip up jacket, dirty gym shoes that were grey, white and red in color.

He was driving an older model 4-door Chevy, dark green in color.
