(Ohio City) - Cleveland Clinic’s Lutheran Hospital at 1730 West 25th Street is hosting a kick-off celebration to begin construction on a new $17.5 million emergency department.
The expansion will double the size of the hospital’s current emergency department to 14,000 square feet, and offer patients improved access to emergency services with a newly designed entrance.
The current 14-bed department will add seven beds for a total of 21 beds, as well as a new split-flow triage and treatment area to expedite patient care.
The current emergency department will remain open for patients during construction. The project is expected to be completed in 2015.
