(Cleveland) - A woman is under arrest for attacking police officers that wouldn't let her cross the street.

It happened at approximately 11:30 a.m. Thursday at East 9th and Superior. An off-duty Cleveland Police officer was working at a construction site.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the off-duty officer advised a 23-year-old woman that she could not cross the street through the construction area and that the traffic light was green for traffic.

When the off-duty officer attempted to stop the female she assaulted the officer.

The female was ordered to stop, which she did not comply. As the officer attempted to arrest the female she continued assault him.

Once on-duty officers arrived to assist they were also assaulted by the female. With the assistance of the other officers the female was placed under arrest.

During the arrest the female kicked and bit several officers causing injury.

The incident is currently under investigation.
