(Van Meter, Iowa) (AP)--Just three years after the death of former Cleveland Indians star Bob Feller, the Van Meter, Iowa museum built to honor the former Indians star finds itself gasping for life.

Although officials are working toward a solution they believe will best appease the city, the Feller Museum board and the Indians, it's clear that the museum will never be the same.

The museum shuttered its doors this winter because of an outdated business model that led to major financial issues.

The museum reopened earlier this month with a scaled-down Friday to Sunday schedule, but officials aren't certain it can make it through the end of September without a more permanent solution.
