(East Cleveland) Mayor Gary Norton will slide into the November General election unopposed now that he won Tuesday night's primary, beating both Democratic challengers.

Norton had 1385 votes, more than double the votes cast for council president Jay Jordon who received only 563 votes. Vernon Robinson was third with only 151 votes.

Norton has been mayor of East Cleveland since 2009 when he beat Eric Brewer.
