(Cleveland) - Cleveland Hopkins International Airport held a 9/11 rememberance Wednesday morning.

There was a special moment of silence on the public side of security checkpoint B beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Officials with the Transportation Security Administration, Cleveland Police Department airport unit, Cleveland Public Safety department, U.S. Customs and Border Protection took part. TSA's Color Guard presented arms for one minute for silence at 8:46 a.m. -- the exact time the first plane struck one of the two Twin Towers in New York City 11 years ago.

The TSA's choir then sang "America the Beautiful" and the "National Anthem" immediately after.

The event was open to the public.
