(Lakewood) - The justice system hit the road today.  Eighth grade students at Garfield Middle School in Lakewood saw suspects sentenced, plead guilty and then sentenced in actual cases.

The cases involve a drug crime and a sex crime and will played out before Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Brendan Sheehan who presided over the proceedings beginning at 8:45 Friday morning.

Judge Sheehan says there are many benefits to showing the students how the justice system works.

He contends it can also inspire them to continue to do the right thing as responsible youngsters.

Sheehan feels bringing the justice system to these kids can maybe inspire some to get into law later in life.
