(Cleveland) — Dangerous wind chills are greeting Ohioans as the state gets slapped with another blast of Arctic air.

The National Weather Service has placed most of Ohio under a wind chill warning until Wednesday. Forecasters predicted wind chill readings of 20 to 30 below in Cleveland, Toledo and Columbus. Sub-zero wind chills were expected elsewhere.

The weather gave students from pre-kindergarten to college a break. Cleveland schools were among those closed. Ohio State University canceled its classes, as did the University of Akron, Youngstown State University and Ohio University. You can check the list by clicking here.

The parade of wintry weather and bitter cold led Ohio lawmakers on Monday to propose that the number of "calamity" days for public schools this year be increased from five to nine. Hearings on the bill were expected soon.
