Coming up this week in Cleveland, The Indians face off against The Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, Carrot Top is at MGM Northfield also on Thursday, The 78th Street Studios Third Friday Art Walk is this week and Cleveland Vegfest happens at the Cleveland Convention Center on Saturday.

Head over to Severance Hall today for Carnival Of The Animals. It’s a family friendly event featuring guest pianists performing alongside the Cleveland Orchestra. It starts at 3 today. Or take mom out to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium today for their Mother’s Day Celebration. Mothers get in free with the purchase of a child or general adult ticket. It goes from 10 to 5 today.

Catch 80’s Christian Metal band Stryper as they hit Cleveland tonight. They are bringing their “History Tour - Greatest Hits & Covers” to the Beachland Ballroom tonight starting at 7:30. Or if you’re a vegan, vegetarian or just like meatless food, make plans to hit Cleveland VegFest on Saturday. Loads of Vegan food vendors will be on hand as well as classes to make your own unique dishes. It happens Saturday from 11to 7 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.

Catch a movie on the cheap at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theater today. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too. Or make your Friday plans now to check out some of the best local art in town at the 78th street studios Third Friday Art Walk. If you’re a classic rock fan, then head out to The Kent Stage tonight as Jethro Tull guitarist Martin Barre celebrates 50 years of the iconic band’s music. Expect to hear all your favorite Jethro Tull songs beginning at 8 tonight. Or make your Thursday plans now to catch our Tribe as they take on the Baltimore Orioles down at Progressive Field. First pitch is at 6:10.

Make your lunch plans to hit Truck Stop Tuesday over at Crocker Park. Some of Cleveland’s best local food trucks will be doling out the goods from 11 to 2 today. Or go see a hilarious new play called Native Gardens. It centers on two neighbors in a dispute over a fence and the explosive results as two cultures clash. It starts at 7 tonight inside the Allen Theater.

Head out to The Agora and catch Whitesnake as they bring their Flesh And Blood World Tour to Cleveland. The show starts at 8 tonight. Or check out some of the most magnificent photos ever taken from outer space as astronaut Terry Virts hosts a presentation called View From Above. He took unprecedented 360 degree views from The International Space Station and he’ll show the photos and talk about them at the Ohio Theater starting tonight at 7:30.

Check out Grammy Nominated 90’s singer Joan Osborne as the performs the songs of Bob Dylan tonight at the Music Box Supper Club. Showtime is at 7:30. Or go see Million Dollar Quartet produced by The Great Lakes Theater. It’s a recreation of the famous jam session involving Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis & Johnny Cash. There’s two shows today: one at 1:30 and the other at 7:30 tonight at the Hanna Theater.

Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 7 there will be all sorts of food vendors, live entertainment and activities over in Downtown Cleveland’s Asia Town district.

Or if you want to learn more about filmmaking, head over to Music Box Supper Club. They are launching a new Film Café’ Series tonight. Fredrick Lahey, founding director of The School of Film & Media Arts at Cleveland State University will be on hand. He’ll talk about whether or not you really need to go to film school make good movies. It starts at 7 tonight.

The Cleveland Museum of Art is showing something pretty cool tonight. It’s called TVTV: Video Revolutionaries. It’s a bunch of raw hand-held satirical footage shot between 1972 and 1977 deemed too edgy for the big three networks. The films include then-rising stars Bill Murray, Lily Tomlin, Stephen Spielberg and more. It starts at 7 tonight. Or get in touch with your artistic side and check out The Bob Ross Experience over at Fat Head’s Brewery in Middleburg Heights. It takes inspiration from Ross’ PBS show and your ticket covers supplies, a drink ticket and a Bob Ross Wig. It goes from 7-9 tonight with proceeds helping the A Special Wish Foundation.

Saturday May 18

If you’re a fan of ribs and live music than look no further than the Downtown Willoughby Rib Burn Off. It happens today down on Erie Street from noon-10 with plenty of live music, drinks, a kid zone and plenty of ribs too. Admission is free but the food isn’t. Or go check out Tablao Flamenco: Del Campo down at Playhouse Square. Experience the magic of flamenco music and dance tonight starting at 8 inside the Kennedy Theater.
