Coming up this week in Cleveland, British comedian Eddie Izzard is at Playhouse Square on Wednesday, Edgewater Live kicks off this Thursday down at Edgewater Beach, Euclid Beach Live begins this Friday at Euclid Beach State Park and The Hessler Street Fair happens on Saturday.

The 49th annual Tremont Greek Festival is happening this weekend. Take in all aspects of Greek culture from food to spirits to dancing from noon to midnight down at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. It goes all the way through tomorrow night. Or you can also check out Taste Of Summer down at the Flats East Bank. There will be plenty of food, local music, craft cocktails, beer, local vendors and more today from noon to 10.

Monday May 27

Lake Take 1

It’s the final day to hit the Tremont Greek Festival. Take in all aspects of Greek culture from food to spirits to dancing from noon to 9 tonight down at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Or catch a movie on the cheap tonight at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theatre. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too.

Lake Take 2

Take in some theater tonight with a local production called Central Concern. It takes a satirical look at the American Real Estate profession and how it championed property values over civil rights. It starts at 7 tonight at the Cleveland Public Theater. Or make your weekend plans now to go the Hessler Street Fair over in Harmony Park by University Circle. This street fair with a hippy vibe features local artisans selling all sorts of clothing, art and more. It goes from 10 am to dusk both Saturday & Sunday.

Tuesday May 28

Lake Take 1

If you’re a fan of the late film director Orson Welles, then so see a new documentary called The Eyes Of Orson Welles. It features previously unseen sketches and paintings of the man known mostly for his acting and directing. It screens at 8:25 tonight at the Cleveland Cinematheque. Or make your Thursday night plans now to hit the return of Edgewater Live. Expect live music, games, drinks, food and more starting at 4:30 and running through 9 Thursday night at Edgewater Beach.

Lake Take 2

Make your lunch plans to hit Truck Stop Tuesday over at Crocker Park. Some of Cleveland’s best local food trucks will be doling out the goods from 11 to 2 today. Or you can head over to the Winchester Tavern in Lakewood for their Open Turntable Tuesdays & Open Mic Night. Bring your own vinyl for them to spin from 6-9 and if you are musically inclined, participate in their Open Mic night happening after 9.

Wednesday May 29

Lake Take 1

Catch a rare Cleveland appearance from British Comedian Eddie Izzard. The 25 year veteran comic will bring his Wunderbar tour to the Connor Palace theater tonight starting at 8. Or make your weekend plans now to check out Euclid Beach Live. Much like Edgewater Live, this event kicks off Friday Night from 6-9 and features live music, local arts, food trucks and more down at Euclid Beach Park.

Lake Take 2

If you like old movies, then get over to the Capitol Theater tonight for a screening of the classic Bette Davis film All About Eve. It screens at 7 tonight with a pre-movie reception happening at 6. Or grab some laughs with funnyman Michael Palascak. This guy’s been taking off lately with appearances on Last Comic Standing, Conan O’Brian and The Tonight Show just to name a few. He’ll hit the stage inside Hilarities at 8 tonight.

Thursday May 30

Lake Take 1

Go see former brat packer Rob Lowe as he makes a stop in Cleveland on his “Stories I Only Tell My Friends” tour. Based on his best-selling books, Rob give a peek behind the curtain at Hollywood fame, fatherhood, marriage and more. It starts at 7:30 tonight at the Connor Palace Theater. Also Edgewater Live kicks off tonight down at Edgewater Park. Expect live music, games, drinks, food and more starting at 4:30 and running through 9 tonight

Lake Take 2

Check out a new spin on the classic Gene Kelly film “An American In Paris” as the Cleveland Orchestra plays the soundtrack along with the movie. It starts tonight at 7:30 over at Severance Hall. Or head to Playhouse Square for their Backyard Bash. It’s a summer kick-off party for all the events happening down at U. S. Bank Plaza. There will be live music from Carlos Jones & The Plus Band and it all takes place from 5:30 to 9 tonight.

Friday May 31

Lake Take 1

If you feel like spending the evening outdoors, then get out to Euclid Beach Live. Much like Edgewater Live, this event kicks off tonight from 6-9 and features live music, local arts, food trucks and more down at Euclid Beach Park. Or go catch former Matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas as he brings his "Chip Tooth" Tour to MGM Northfield Park tonight. Limited tickets are still available and the show starts at 8.

Lake Take 2

Get out and support local theater as the Beck Center For The Arts presents an adaptation of Shakespeare’s royal family tragedy "King Lear". The production starts at 8 tonight with performances through the end of June. Or go enjoy the music of Bruce Springsteen live without the hefty ticket price. The Music Box Supper Club hosts Bruce In The USA tonight starting at 8.

Saturday June 1

Lake Take 1

Head out to Playhouse Square and catch an Operatic adaptation of Gershwin’s Porgy And Bess. The Cleveland Opera along with a full orchestra will put on this production inside the Ohio Theater tonight starting at 7:30. Or get down to the Hessler Street Fair over in Harmony Park by University Circle. This street fair with a hippy vibe features local artisans selling all sorts of clothing, art and more. It goes from 10 am to dusk today and tomorrow.

Lake Take 2

Get out today and hit the Crafted Food, Beer and Music Festival today down at Tremont’s Lincoln Park. There will be over 42 craft beers to indulge in as well as live music and plenty of food. It happens from 3-7 today. Or go check out the 29th Annual “Art In The Village” with craft marketplace over in Legacy Village. It’s a family friendly event featuring more than 100 artists with paintings, sculptures, jewelry and more. There will be plenty of food on hand and the event goes 10 to 8 today and 10 to 6 tomorrow.
