Coming up this week in Cleveland, comedian Frank Caliendo will be at Hilarities on Tuesday, The Asian Lantern Festival kicks off at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on Thursday, The Indians play the Detroit Tigers at Progressive Field on Friday and the Cleveland Museum Of Art’s Solstice event happens on Saturday.

Lake Take 2

Get some 80’s nostalgia in and head to House Of Blues tonight for Howard Jones along with Men Without Hats. Doors are at 6 and the show starts at 7. Or you can head to MGM Northfield Park and catch Big Head Todd & The Monsters along with Toad The Wet Sprocket. That show starts at 7:30 tonight.

Monday June 17

Lake Take 1

If you feel like getting out tonight, go see the Skatch Anderssen Big Band at Brothers Lounge. The music and dancing starts tonight at 8. Or catch a movie on the cheap tonight at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theater. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too.

Lake Take 2

Last Call Trivia is doing Lunchtime Trivia at U. S. Bank Plaza from 12:30-1:30 this afternoon. Teams can range from 1 to 8 players and prizes are given out at the end of the event. Or you can get an intimate look at some of Cleveland’s greatest buildings downtown with the Cleveland From The Inside Walking Tour. It happens today down in Public Square from 1-3.

Tuesday June 18

Lake Take 1

Go catch a couple of classic 80’s movies tonight as the Aut-O-Rama Drive In in North Ridgeville does their Retro Tuesdays. They are showing Ferris Bueller’s Day off and The Breakfast Club tonight starting at 9:35. Or you can catch comedian and impressionist Frank Caliendo down at Hilarties tonight.He’ll hit the stage at 7:30.

Lake Take 2

The Happy Dog on Detroit Avenue hosts Classical Revolution Cleveland tonight. It’s a group of various musicians around Cleveland getting together to bring classical music into a bar setting. It’s free for all-ages and the music gets started at 8. Or head out to U. S. Bank Plaza for Dancing Under The Stars. There will be swing dance lessons beginning at 6 with dancing continuing on till 9 tonight.

Wednesday June 19

Lake Take 1

Head over to Playhouse Square tonight to see Dear Evan Hansen. It’s a Tony-Award winning musical about a man who just wants to fit in. It’s been described as “gut-punching, breathtaking and deeply personal” and it starts at 7:10 tonight inside the Connor Palace Theater. Or get outside and check out Wade Oval Wednesday over at University Circle. Grab a blanket and lawn chair and enjoy live music from local blues act Blue Lunch. There will be food, drinks, kids activities and it goes from 6-9 tonight.

Lake Take 2

Head over to House Of Blues this evening along with local attorneys and judges for their Jam For Justice. It’s a concert benefiting the Legal Aid Society Of Cleveland. There will be food, drinks, a raffle and plenty of live music starting tonight at 6. Or you could head to Blossom to see the infamous jam band Phish. That show gets started at 7 tonight.

Thursday June 20

Lake Take 1

Grab some laughs tonight with comedian Alonzo Bodden down at Hilarities. He’s had his own Showtime comedy show “Who’s Paying Attention” and he likes to poke fun of the news or its lack thereof.He’ll be onstage tonight at 8 with additional shows through the weekend. Or you can hit the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for their Asian Lantern Festival which starts tonight. Go view the more than 40 all-new lantern displays along with live music happening from 6:30 to 10 tonight. The displays go through July 28th.

If you want to learn more about the movie industry, head over to Music Box Supper Club. Their Film Café’ Series continues tonight with Ivan Schwartz, president and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission. He’ll talk about how to get your first job in the film industry starting at 7 tonight. NOTICE: Tonight's Edgewater Live event is postponed due to inclement weather.

Friday June 21

Lake Take 1

Cheer on our Tribe tonight as they play the Detroit Tigers at Progressive Field. First pitch is at 7:10. It’s also dollar dog night so skip dinner beforehand. Or get out to Euclid Beach Live over at Euclid Beach Park. It goes from 6-9 and features live music, local arts, food trucks and more.

Lake Take 2

Check out some of the best local art in town at the 78th street studios Third Friday Art Walk. Tour the more than 60 galleries which will open their doors from 5 to 9 tonight. Or hit the Great Lakes Burning River Fest down at Whiskey Island. There will be live music and plenty of craft beer starting at 6 tonight.

Saturday June 22

Lake Take 1

Go check out The Cleveland Museum of Art’s Solstice event tonight. There will be live acts, special exhibits, dance performances, DJ’s and more starting at 8. Or hit the Great Lakes Burning River Fest down at Whiskey Island. There will be live music from local indie favorites Cloud Nothings and plenty of craft beer starting at 6 tonight.

Lake Take 2

Are you a fan of Broadway Musicals and knowledgeable about it? Then get on over to U.S. Bank Plaza at Playhouse Square for their Broadway Trivia. Teams can range from 1 to 8 players and this two hour event starts at 7 tonight. Or get some theater in and head down to the Oberlin Summer Theater Festival. Tonight’s performance is Butterflies Are Free over at the Hall Auditorium. It happens to be free as well and starts at 7.
