Coming up this week in Cleveland, The Indians start a 3 game series against the Kansas City Royals tomorrow night at Progressive Field, Wade Oval Wednesday continues at University Circle, The Tri-C Jazzfest Outdoor Festival is at U.S. Bank Plaza on Friday and Waterloo Arts Fest is on Saturday.

Go see comedian Dax Shepard as he takes his Armchair Expert Live In The Midwest show to Playhouse Square tonight. Showtime is at 7:30 inside the KeyBank State Theater. Or catch legendary singer Patti Labelle as she hits MGM Northfield Park tonight. She’ll be onstage at 7:30.

Monday June 24

Lake Take 1

Cheer on our tribe as they start a 3 game series against the Kansas City Royals tonight at Progressive Field. First pitch is at 7:10. Or you could go see the folk rock band Dawes over at The Agora. They’ve been at it for over a decade with 6 albums under their belt. They will take the stage at 8 tonight.

Lake Take 2

The Music Box Supper Club is hosting an event tonight called Authors Night. It spotlights various local authors who’ll speak about their work. There will be a special prix fixe dinner menu on hand starting at 6 and the event starts at 7. Or catch a movie on the cheap tonight at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theater. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too.

Tuesday June 25

Lake Take 1

Head out to U. S. Bank Plaza for Dancing Under The Stars. There will be swing dance lessons beginning at 6 with dancing continuing on till 9 tonight. Or you could catch the band O.A.R. over at Jacobs Pavillion at Nautica. The show starts at 7 with American Authors opening the show.

Lake Take 2

Go do something a little different tonight and go see Thomas Backman at the Bop Stop. He’s a Swedish Sax & Clarinet player who combines elements of Jazz, Hip Hop, Indie Pop and Chamber music. He’ll be onstage tonight at 7. Or make your Friday plans now to hit The Tri-C Jazzfest Outdoor Festival at U.S. Bank Plaza. There will be plenty of local and regional bands of all genres playing outdoors along with food, shopping, street performers and more. It starts at 3 on Friday and also on Saturday.

Wednesday June 26

Lake Take 1

Head over to Playhouse Square tonight to see Dear Evan Hansen. It’s a Tony-Award winning musical about a man who just wants to fit in. It’s been described as “breathtaking and deeply personal” and it starts at 7:10 tonight inside the Connor Palace Theater. Or get outside and check out Wade Oval Wednesday over at University Circle. Grab a blanket and lawn chair and enjoy live music from Carlos Jones & The Plus Band. There will be food, drinks, kids activities and even fireworks after the show. It happens from 6-9 tonight.

Lake Take 2

Get some theater in and head down to the Oberlin Summer Theater Festival. Tonight’s performance is Butterflies Are Free over at the Hall Auditorium. It’s free and it starts at 7. Or grab some laughs with comic Chris Franjola over at Hilarities. He’s a regular on Chelsea Lately and has also been seen hosting the Sons Of Anarchy after show on FX. He’ll be onstage at 7 tonight.

Thursday June 27

Lake Take 1

Go hit the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for their Asian Lantern Festival tonight. Go view the more than 40 all-new lantern displays along with live music happening from 6:30 to 10 tonight. The displays go through July 28th. And if you’re a fan of horns, go see the Iconic Jazz and Funk act Tower Of Power. They are the official opener of the Tri-C Jazzfest this weekend and the show starts at 7:45 tonight at the KeyBank State Theater.

Get out and go see comic and impressionist Dan Soder over at Hilarities. The NYC comic appears in the Showtime series called Billions and he’ll hit the stage tonight at 7. Or head down to Edgewater beach for Edgewater Live. Expect live music, games, drinks, food and more starting at 4:30 and running through 9 tonight.

Friday June 27

Lake Take 1

The Tri-C Jazzfest Outdoor Festival starts at 3 today over at U.S. Bank Plaza. There will be plenty of local and regional bands of all genres playing outdoors along with food, shopping, street performers and more. The music continues on past midnight and starts again at 3 tomorrow afternoon. Or go see a stage adaptation of the classic Whoopi Goldberg movie Sister Act.This feel-good production is full of music and dancing and it all goes down at 8 tonight at the Akron Civic Theater.

If you want to experience Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ music live, there’s a tribute act playing tonight called Shadow Of A Doubt. They are based here in Northeast Ohio and they’ll start playing the Petty classics tonight at 7:30 at the Music Box Supper Club.

Saturday June 27

Lake Take 1

The Tri-C Jazzfest Outdoor Festival continues today with live music starting at 3 over at U.S. Bank Plaza. There will be plenty of local and regional bands of all genres playing outdoors along with food, shopping, street performers and more. The music keeps going till midnight. Or you can road trip it to Chardon for their Love Fest 2019. It’s an open-air music festival featuring music of all styles from local acts to even some from Canada. It happens from 12:30 to 10 over in Historic Chardon Square.

Don’t miss Waterloo Arts Fest today over on the east side. The 17th annual event will have more than 40 local bands along with plenty of local vendors, art, food and drinks today from noon to 7. Or go see Matt Johnson’s Dueling Piano Fiasco at MGM Northfield Park’s Neon Room. Expect rowdy singalongs and an energetic performance starting tonight at 8.
