Coming up this week in Cleveland, The Cavs play Utah Jazz tomorrow night at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, comic Iliza Shlesinger will be at Playhouse Square on Thursday, Wizard World Cleveland starts on Friday and The Cleveland Museum Of Art’s monthly MIX Event is also on Friday.

Lake Take 2

It’s the final day to check out the Cleveland Auto Show down at the IX Center. It’s nearly 1.2 million square feet of all the latest cars and even some that aren’t even on the market yet. It goes from 11 to 8 today. Or head down to Playhouse Square to catch Sleuth over at the Hanna Theater. It’s the Ultimate Whodunnit Thriller put on by the Great Lakes Theater and the curtain drops at 3 today.

Monday, March 2

Lake Take 1

Go cheer on the Cavs tonight down at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. They take on the Utah Jazz and Tipoff starts at 7. Or if you’re looking for some comedy tonight, head over to Great Lakes Brewing Company. Bill Squire, from our sister station WMMS, will be on hand for Craft Laughs. It’s a weekly stand-up event showcasing upcoming local comedians. It all goes down starting at 8.

Make your weekend plans now to hit Wizard World Cleveland down at the Huntington Convention Center downtown. It goes this Friday thru Sunday and fans of comics, gaming, toys, movies and more will find plenty to take in at this event. Or get out and attend The Cleveland Museum Of Art’s monthly MIX event. The theme this month is Masquerade where you can check out masks from all around the world and even make your own. The whole thing will have a Mardi Gras vibe and it goes from 6 to 10 Friday night. 

Tuesday, March 3

Lake Take 1

If you like your music more on the Americana side, then get over to Music Box Supper Club tonight to see singer songwriters Hayes Carll and Allison Moorer. Showtime is at 7:30. Or go support local comedy over at Brothers Lounge on the West Side. They are hosting a Back Room Comedy Show which features local comics who take the stage starting at 7:30 tonight.

Make plans later in the week to see comic Iliza Schlesinger down at Playhouse Square. She’s one of today’s leading comedians who’s had 5 Netflix Specials to her name, a bestselling book and a movie with Mark Wahlberg in the pipeline. She’ll be onstage at 7 Thursday Night. Or go hit the First Friday Funk Social over at Jukebox Lounge. Get your groove on to all eras of Funk and R&B music this Friday starting at 9:30.

Wednesday, March 4

Lake Take 1

Go support our Cavs tonight down at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. They take on the Boston Celtics and tipoff is at 7. Or get some local entertainment over at The Happy Dog tonight with their event, Keep Talking: A Storytelling Show. This event features local people telling stories of crazy events in their lives. Sounds random? It is. Find out what it’s all about tonight starting at 8.

Lake Take 2

If you’re over in University Circle this evening, drop by the Cleveland Museum of Art for their Chamber Music In The Galleries event. It features mixed programs of chamber music and it’s free starting at 6. Or get some local history in at Cleveland Stories Dinner Parties over at Music Box Supper Club. Author Robert Nyerges will talk about his book Dead Giveaway, which focuses on the rescue of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight by neighbor Charles Ramsey. The storytelling begins at 7.

Thursday, March 5

Lake Take 1

Take in some classical music over at Severance Hall. The Cleveland Orchestra will perform Mendelssohn’s Second Symphony beginning at 7:30 tonight. Or go catch the opening of a new stage production called The Real Inspector Hound. It’s a Murder Mystery that’s part parody, part farce and part whodunit and it even has a twist ending. It’s put on by The CSU Department of Theater & Dance and the curtain drops at 7:30 tonight at the Outcalt Theater.

Go see comic Iliza Schlesinger down at Playhouse Square. She’s one of today’s leading comedians who’s had 5 Netflix Specials to her name, a bestselling book and a movie with Mark Wahlberg in the pipeline. She’ll be onstage at 7 tonight. Or go support our Cleveland Monsters as they hit the ice tonight down at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. They take on Laval Rocket at 7 and they are running a Hockey Hoppy Hour special from Labatt Blue with lower level tickets starting at $12 and your first drink on the house.

The slow-talking clean comic has been on the circuit since 1991 and he promises plenty of new material tonight when he hits the stage at 8. Or you can catch Blues Guitar Virtuoso Joe Bonamassa down at the Connor Palace Theater. The 2-time Grammy nominated performer will be onstage tonight and tomorrow night at 8.

Saturday, March 7

Lake Take 1

Go cheer on our Cavs tonight at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. They play the Denver Nuggets and Tipoff is at 7:30. Or if you’re a Prince Fan and want to get out and dance, then head over to Mahall’s over in Lakewood for Erotic City. It’s an all-vinyl dance party featuring the music of Prince and all Prince-related artists all night long. It starts at 9 tonight.

Lake Take 2

Go see Flanagan’s Wake down at Playhouse Square. The interactive Irish production starts tonight at 8 inside the Kennedy’s Cabaret Theater. Or if you’re a midnight movie fan, go see The Rocky Horror Picture show. The cult classic hits the screen at the Cedar lee theater at, you guessed it, midnight tonight!
