Lake Take 1

Coming up this week in Cleveland, The Cavs play Portland tomorrow night at Quicken Loans Arena, it’s the last week to catch the Georgia O’Keeffe exhibit at the Cleveland Museum Of Art, The Cleveland Auto Show continues at the IX Center all week and the 4th Annual Warehouse District Mardi Gras Bar Crawl happens on Saturday.

If you’re a fan of David Bowie, be sure to catch “A Bowie Celebration: The David Bowie Alumni Tour”. It’s a whole series of musicians who played and toured with the Iconic singer and they pay tribute to his 6 decades worth of music. It starts tonight at 7:30 at the Agora Theater. Or start getting in the spring spirit and head to the Cleveland Botanical Garden for their Orchid Mania exhibit. Over 3,000 orchids in all shapes and sizes will be on display today from 10 to 5. Can’t make it today? It goes all the way to March 10th.

Monday Feb. 25

If you’re a fan of IPA Beers, head down to Townhall in Ohio City for IPALooza 2019. They are celebrating 28 days of “the hops” by tapping over 50 beers for your drinking pleasure. It happens from 7-10 tonight. Or if you’re in the mood for some roots music, get out to the Beachland Ballroom for their Bluegrass Jam. It’s a free show open to all levels of experience and it starts at 7:30 tonight.

The Cavs go up against the Portland Trailblazers tonight at the Quicken Loans Arena. Tipoff is at 7. Or If you feel like getting out tonight, go see the Skatch Anderssen Big Band at Brothers Lounge tonight. The music and dancing starts at 7.

Tuesday Feb. 26

Go check out some cars today at the Cleveland Auto Show. It’s nearly 1.2 million square feet of all the latest cars and even some that aren’t on the market yet. It goes from 11 to 9 today and happens through March 3rd at the IX Center. Or make your Saturday plans now to get your drink on at the Warehouse District’s 4th Annual “Official Mardi Gras Bar Crawl”. You get a mask, beads and a hurricane cup for drink specials. It starts at 2pm and goes till, well, whenever.

It’s the final week to catch the Georgia O’Keeffe exhibit called Living Modern at the Cleveland Museum Of Art. Check out this iconic American artist’s works from 10 to 5 today with expanded hours tomorrow & Friday. The exhibit closes on Sunday. Or if you like your rock music on the heavy side, you could go see Coheed And Cambria tonight at the Agora Theater. The show starts at 7:30.

Wednesday Feb. 27

What do you get when you cross Disney tunes with Acappella vocalists? "Disney’s DCappella" that’s what. Go hear your favorite Disney songs sung by world class vocalists at the Connor Palace Theater tonight at 7:30. Or go catch New York comic and writer Jim Tews tonight over at Hilarites. He’s known most for his New York Times Bestseller “Felines Of New York” and also directed a documentary on Cleveland’s Independent Comedy Scene called “Make Fun”. He’s onstage tonight at 8.

If you’re an Alfred Hitchcock fan, go see the classic film “North By Northwest” on the big screen at the Capitol Theater in Gordon Square. It’s part of the theater’s Happy Hour Classic Series and it screens tonight at 7. Or take in some LIVE theater down at Playhouse Square and see a local rendition of Agatha Christie’s Witness For The Prosecution. The Great Lakes Theater puts on the production inside the Hanna Theater tonight at 7:30.

Thursday Feb. 28

Lake Take 1

Grab some laughs tonight as comedian Natasha Leggero performs tonight at Hilarities. She’s a frequent guest on Chelsea Lately and was in the movie “He’s Just Not That Into You”. She’ll take the stage with her husband Moshe Kasher tonight at 8. Or you can go check out a local stage production of The Importance Of Being Earnest. The production has plenty of madcap action and plot twists and it all gets started at 7:30 tonight at the Outcalt Theater.

Lake Take 2

Cheer on the Cleveland Monsters tonight as they go up against Canada’s Laval Rocket. Tickets are only $11 and the puck drops at 7. Or you can show just how “Cleveland” you really are over at The Forest City Brewery. They have an event tonight called Pop Cleveland, which is part sketch comedy and part trivia and it runs from 8 to 10 tonight.

Friday March 1

Lake Take 1

If you’re looking for something a little different, head over to Severance Hall. The Cleveland Orchestra will play the score of the classic 1955 James Dean movie “Rebel Without A Cause” live alongside the film. It starts tonight at 8. Or you can get some comedy in with funnyman Demetri Martin over at the Agora Theater. He’s had his own Netflix special called The Overthinker and was a regular on The Daily Show. He’s onstage tonight at 8.

Lake Take 2

Catch the classic 80’s alternative outfit Los Lobos as they play a rare appearance in Cleveland over at the Music Box Supper Club. The band, who had a big hit with their version of “La Bamba”, will be onstage tonight at 8. Or Go check out a multimedia event called Fire On The Water. It’s a fast-paced series of short plays commemorating the 50th anniversary of the burning of the Cuyahoga River. It starts tonight at 7:30 at the Gordon Square Theater.

Saturday March 2

If you’re looking for some comedy tonight, check out the Festival Of Laughs. Six of today’s brightest comics will take the stage at the Connor Palace Theater tonight starting at 8. Or head down to the final weekend of the Cleveland Auto Show over at the IX Center. It’s nearly 1.2 million square feet of all the latest cars and even some that aren’t on the market yet. The Cavs go up against The Detroit Pistons today 5pm and then they take on the Orlando Magic tomorrow evening at 6. Both games are at the Quicken Loans Arena. It starts at 2 today and goes on as long as you can take it .
