Lake Take 1

Coming up this week in Cleveland, The Cavs play the Boston Celtics on Tuesday Night, Ariana Grande plays Quicken Loans Arena on Thursday Night, The IX Indoor Amusement Park kicks off on Friday and The Cleveland Botanical Garden’s Amazing Butterflies exhibit kicks off today through the end of April.

Check out a stage production called Choir Of Man. It’s being called a “singing, dancing, stomping pub crawl” featuring 9 guys singing contemporary tunes by Guns & Roses, Adele, Paul Simon and more. Showtime is 7 tonight at the Ohio Theater. Or you could take the family to World Water Day Weekend at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. From 10-5 today, they will be sharing tips to conserve water and children are invited to design a one-of-a-kind fish using recycled materials.

Monday March 25

Lake Take 1

Get an inside view of the Connor Palace Theater down in Playhouse Square as they put on their Ghost Tour tonight. You’ll get the lowdown on various ghost sightings and unexplained occurrences during the venue’s near 100 year history. 3 different tours happen between 7 and 11 tonight. Or catch a movie on the cheap tonight at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theatre. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too.

Go see the next generation of Broadway stars hit the stage at Nighttown over on the East Side. The Baldwin Wallace Musical Theater seniors will perform their “50 Below Concert” that will take them to New York City next month. Showtime is at 7 tonight. Or make your Thursday plans now to see Ariana Grande bring her Sweetner World Tour to Quicken Loans Arena. Limited tickets are still available for her 8pm show on Thursday.

Kyrie Irving is back in town tonight as The Cavs play Boston Celtics at Quicken Loans Arena. Tipoff if at 7. And it’s that time of the year again. Make your plans now to hit the IX Indoor Amusement Park which starts its 3 week run at the IX Center this Friday at 11am.

Go see a new stage play called Tiny Houses tonight. It’s about a woman who quits her finance job to go across the country to build a 200 square foot tiny house. Showtime is 7 inside the Outcalt Theater. Or go check out The Cleveland Botanical Garden’s new Amazing Butterflies exhibit. It includes a Butterfly Zip Line, a climbable spider web, educational games and more. It goes from 10 to 5 today and happens all the way through the end of April.

Wednesday March 27

Lake Take 1

Get out and see something a little different tonight. A Croatian duo called 2 Cellos will perform at the Quicken Loans Arena. They are known for their instrumental versions of well-known pop and rock songs and they hit the stage tonight at 7:30. Or make plans tomorrow night to see a new multi-week series happening at the Cleveland Public Theater called Test Flight 2019. This series showcases new plays that are still in production. Local and National artists will take part in this risk-taking project tomorrow night at 7.

Lake Take 2

As part of their Film Series, the Rock Hall will be showing Miss Sharon Jones. It’s a documentary about the late Grammy-Nominated soul singer as she finds her spirit against insurmountable odds. It screens at 7 tonight. Or take part in Boozy Bingo down at the Winchester Music Tavern in Lakewood. It’s exactly like it sounds and it’s free to play from 7 to 9 tonight. 

Thursday March 28

Lake Take 1

Go see a new stage play called Tiny Houses tonight. It’s about a woman who quits her finance job to go across the country to build a 200 square foot tiny house. Showtime is 7:30 inside the Outcalt Theater. Or If you want to grab some laughs tonight, and a few beers, go down to Sachsenheim Hall for the New Big Beer Show, presented by Cleveland Comedy festival. It’s a night of adult humor featuring plenty of audience involvement and storytelling. It goes down tonight starting at 8:30.

Known as one of the best stand-up comedians in the business, Chris D’Elia will be making a stop at the Masonic Auditorium tonight. The “Undatable” comic takes the stage at 7 tonight. Or go check out The Cleveland Botanical Garden’s new Amazing Butterflies exhibit. It includes a Butterfly Zip Line, a climbable spider web, educational games and more. It goes from 10 to 5 today and happens all the way through the end of April.

Friday March 30

Lake Take 1

Catch something a little different tonight as German Violinist Carolin Widmann makes a rare local stop as part of the Cleveland Museum Of Art’s Performing Arts Series. She’ll be onstage at 7:30 inside the Transformer Station in Ohio City. Or go see a stage production of Shakespeare’s The Taming Of The Shrew. The performance, put on by The Great Lakes Theater, starts at 7:30 tonight at the Hanna Theater.

Lake Take 2

Catch comedian Al Jackson as he performs at Hilarities tonight. He has his own talk show called “Daily Blast Live” and has been seen on HBO’s “2 Dope Queens”, The BBC’s “Officially Amazing” among other appearances. He’ll be onstage tonight at 7 with shows through the weekend. Or cheer on The Cleveland Monsters as they go up against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at the Quicken Loans Arena. Puck drops at 7.

Saturday March 31

Lake Take 1

If you want to hear some Billy Joel music live, but can’t make those Madison Square Garden shows, the next best thing is tonight. A Billy Joel Tribute by 52nd Street Stranger takes the stage at 8 tonight at the Music Box Supper Club. Or you can check out a stage production called The Velocity Of Autumn. It’s a comedy/drama about an 80 year old woman in a showdown with her family on where to spend her golden years. It happens at 7:30 tonight at the Karamu House on the East side.

Lake Take 2

Catch a local production called Gloria. It’s a comedic look at the cut-throat competition that exists in getting the best story first in modern media. It happens tonight at 7:30 inside The Cleveland Public Theater. Or you can take the family to the IX Indoor Amusement Park that just opened yesterday. Get your fix of rides and fair food today from 10 to 9. It runs through April 22nd.
