Build-A-Bear Is Bringing Back The Chaotic 'Pay Your Age' Sale

Last year, Build-A-Bear Workshop held a promotion where rather than paying the usual $35 for an stuffed animal, customers were able to pay their age (except for babies under the age of 1 who got theirs for just $1 and anyone over the age of 29 would just have to pay $29 for theirs). Well, the sale worked and people flocked to their stores, but there were way too many people who wanted to take part and the lines at locations across the country became too long for mall security guards to handle so police were called in and shut down many of the sales over safety concerns. Since plenty of parents and kids had already waited hours only to leave empty-handed, the situation turned chaotic.

Now, Build-A-Bear is bringing the promotion back, only this time there's a catch to make sure history doesn't repeat itself.

For the 2019 campaign, the number of people who can take part in the promotion will be capped at 200,000 and they will all be selected by raffle. To enter, sign up for a Bonus Club account with the store and complete the birthday profile. Then, enter for your chance to received a Pay Your Age ticket, which can be redeemed June 24 to the 28. You can even win a birthday party experience valued at $250. You must submit your entry by June 16 though. Learn more and enter here.
