Kourtney Kardashian Doesn’t ‘Like Being A Celeb,’ Steps Back From ‘KUWTK'

The drama on Keeping Up With The Kardashians is messier than ever. In the most recent episode, which aired on Thursday (April 2), Kourtney Kardashian decided to step back from the show that made her a household name. Though the reality star had previously confirmed the rumors she would be taking a back seat in future episodes, fans finally got to see what really went down between Kourtney and her sisters.

After getting into a physical altercation with Kim Kardashian in the previous episode, Kourtney opened up about her unhappiness. She told friends Malika Haqq and Khadijah Haqq that she's had an attitude recently because filming KUWTK makes her "anxious." She went on to say the show "doesn’t make me happy. I don’t want to miss out on time with my kids and it’s not worth it. It just seems like they put the show and work above my happiness and it’s caused this distance between us.”

After Kim and Kourtney were able to clear the air between them and travel to Armenia together for a work trip, Kourtney confessed to her younger sister that she "doesn't like being a celebrity." Though she loves traveling on her own, she admitted she was unhappy while traveling for KUWTK. “I don’t know why I’m so miserable here,” she complained while talking about the photographers hired to take their picture at an Armenian memorial.

At the end of the episode, Kourtney shared her decision to cut back on filming with Kim and Khloe Kardashian. "I have decided to take a big step back from filming and really just pick and choose what I will allow cameras to follow," she said. "I think just now when I have something that I find is interesting to film, or that I would feel excited to film, that I do that."

While the show was airing, Kourtney took to Twitter to share with her followers that she wouldn't be live-tweeting the episode like she normally does. "I'm spending time with my kids while they are on spring break," she explained. "I realize that a lot of the conversation right now surrounds my work ethic, and I feel like I need to just make one thing clear: raising children is a job as well."

"In fact," she continued, "it's the hardest and most rewarding job that I have ever had. I've decided to put my focus on my kids and my lifestyle brand, Poosh, which is all about finding YOUR healthy balance for living your best life. I don't judge anyone who chooses a different route, and I hope that everyone can appreciate my choices as well. With love, Kourt."

We'll just have to wait and see what happens on the next episode. Keeping Up With The Kardashians airs at 9:00pm ET on E!.
