'Teen Mom' Kailyn Lowry Mom-Shamed For 'Irresponsible' Vaccination Stance

Kailyn Lowry is making her position on vaccinating her children crystal clear.

On Thursday (April 2), the Teen Mom star drew mixed responses from followers when a fan asked her whether — given the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic — she would get her three children vaccinated against the disease if one were created. “Absolutely not,” Lowry, who is expecting a fourth child, steadfastly.

Not before long, commenters poured expressing their objection to Lowry’s being against vaccinations considering our current health crisis. "49,000 people have died and almost 1 million infected so far by Coronavirus. I know someone personally fighting for their life with this virus. I just can’t,” one user commented, to which Lowry replied, “Understood. I know people as well. That’s why I’m staying home.”

"Been a fan and a follower for years. Always admired your tenacity but your response is absolutely irresponsible in a time like this. I just can’t call myself a fan anymore," another user chimed in.

Even so, many users defended the reality star mom’s power to decide what’s best for her children.

“Amen girl don’t let anyone bash you or your decision,” one follower commented, whereas another responded, “I believe each parent should have their right to care for their child the way they believe. But others have the right to say they don’t want their child around your child for fear of spreading disease.”

Lowry’s stance comes amid a time in which the topic of health are becoming more crucial with the COVID-19 outbreak, which has led more than 265,500 people in the United States to be infected and over 6,700 others to die.
