In a landmark decision, a Las Vegas jury found Duane "Keefe D" Davis guilty of orchestrating the 1996 murder of rap legend Tupac Shakur. The verdict, delivered on Monday (August 31), marks the first conviction in a case that has captivated the hip-hop community for decades. Davis, 63, was convicted of murder with the use of a deadly weapon and could face life imprisonment.

Prosecutors argued that Davis acquired a gun and orchestrated the attack on Shakur and Marion "Suge" Knight after a confrontation earlier that night. Despite the defense's claims of insufficient evidence, Davis' own statements placed him in the white Cadillac from which the shots were fired.
