Coming up this week in Cleveland, The Cavs take on the Phoenix Suns on Thursday Night, comedian Bobby Collins is at Hilarities also on Thursday Night, The Cleveland Auto Show kicks off at the IX Center on Friday & The Brite Winter Music Festival happens on Saturday night.

One of the most successful world music groups, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, will make a rare Cleveland stop tonight. The South African vocal group have worked with Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder & Dolly Parton among others and they take the stage at the Trinity Cathedral tonight at 7. Or if you like your music a little bit harder, head over to the Hard Rock Rocksino in Northfield Park for 90’s rockers Candlebox. They’ll be onstage tonight at 7:30.

Monday Feb. 18

Lake Take 1

Go check out a multimedia event called Fire On The Water. It’s a fast-paced series of short plays commemorating the 50th anniversary of the burning of the Cuyahoga River. It starts tonight at 7:30 at the Gordon Square Theater. Or catch a movie on the cheap tonight at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theatre. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too.

If you’re looking to get out tonight and have a drink, Western Reserve Distillers are having a Pre-Prohibition cocktail night where they concoct by-gone drinks from the past, paired with food at a cheap price. It runs from 4-10 tonight. Or go check out a local stage production called La Gringa. It’s a comedy about what happens when a Puerto Rican woman goes to visit to her homeland from America. It happens tonight at 7 inside the Cleveland Public Theater.

Tuesday Feb. 19

Lake Take 1

The Happy Dog on Detroit Avenue hosts Classical Revolution Cleveland tonight. It’s a group of various musicians around Cleveland getting together to bring classical music into a bar setting. It’s free for all-ages and the music gets started at 8. Or make your weekend plans now to check out the Cleveland Auto Show. It’s nearly 1.2 million square feet of all the latest cars and even some that aren’t even on the market yet. It starts this Friday at the IX Center.

If you want to get out and see some theater, go see Sherwood: The Adventures Of Robin Hood. It’s a local production of the classic tale and it starts tonight at 7 inside the Allen Theater at Playhouse Square. Or if you’re a fan of 80’s Metal, go check out Dokken as they roll into town on Thursday night at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. They’ll go onstage at 7:30.

Wednesday Feb. 20

Lake Take 1

There’s a cool event happening tonight called Ocean Soul. Photographer Brian Skerry lived at the bottom of the sea for a while to take over 10 thousand photos of rarely seen ocean life. These photos will be on display and Brian will talk about his experiences tonight at 7:30 inside the Ohio Theater. Or head to the Cleveland Botanical Garden for their Orchid Mania exhibit. Over 3,000 orchids in all shapes and sizes will be on display today from 10 to 9.

Indulge yourself tonight at the Western Reserve Distillers for their Ohio Craft Whiskey Night. You’ll get a flight of award-winning local whiskey, a signature cocktail and appetizers. It goes from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight. Or you can head to the Cleveland Museum Of Art for their Georgia O’Keeffe exhibit called Living Modern. Check out this iconic American artist’s works from 10 to 9 today. The exhibit runs through March 3rd.

Thursday Feb. 21

Lake Take 1

Grab some laughs tonight with Comedian Bobby Collins. The storytelling comic who’s described as “a force of nature” will hit the stage at Hilarities tonight at 8. Or for something completely different, head over to Severance Hall as the Cleveland Orchestra performs “Beethoven’s Pastoral”. It’s a selection of the famous composer’s classics inspired by the English countryside. The music starts tonight at 7:30.

Cheer on The Cavs tonight as they take on The Phoenix Suns over at the Quicken Loans Arena. Tipoff is at 7. Or you can head to the Hard Rock Rocksino to catch 80’s Metal act Dokken. They’ll be on stage tonight at 7:30.

Friday Feb. 22

The Cleveland Auto Show starts today a 5. It’s nearly 1.2 million square feet of all the latest cars and even some that aren’t on the market yet. Can’t make it tonight? The Show goes all the way to March 3rd at the IX Center. Or go check out a local stage production called La Gringa. It’s a comedy about what happens when a Puerto Rican woman goes to visit to her homeland from America. It happens tonight at 7 inside the Cleveland Public Theater.

If you’re a fan of The Beatles, make the trek out to Kent for Kent Beatlefest. The 6th annual event has more than 20 bands at 18 different venues celebrating the Beatles music. The first act starts at 5 today and the music goes till late tonight. Or get your Hockey fix as The Cleveland Monsters go up against the Milwaukee Admirals. The puck drops at 7 tonight inside the Quicken Loans Arena.

Saturday Feb. 23

Lake Take 1

The 10th annual Brite Winter 2019 music festival is happening tonight. Over 30 local acts will perform at 5 different stages down in the west bank of the flats. The music starts today at 3 and goes till 1 am. Or Go check out a multimedia event called Fire On The Water. It’s a fast-paced series of short plays commemorating the 50th anniversary of the burning of the Cuyahoga River. It starts tonight at 7:30 at the Gordon Square Theater.

The Cavs are at it again tonight. This time they take on The Memphis Grizzlies and tipoff is at 7 inside the Quicken Loans Arena. Or you can go check out a local stage production of The Importance Of Being Earnest. The production has plenty of madcap action and plot twists and it all gets started at 7:30 tonight at the Outcalt Theater.
