The Cavs play their next to last home game today against the San Antonio Spurs. Tipoff is at 3. Or go check out The Cleveland Botanical Garden’s Amazing Butterflies exhibit. It includes a Butterfly Zip Line, a climbable spider web, educational games and more. It goes from 10 to 5 today and happens all the way through the end of April.

Monday April 8

Lake Take 1

If you like Pink Floyd, head down to Akron for drummer Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets. Nick’s band will focus primarily on Pink Floyd’s early work and the show is at 7:30 tonight at the Akron Civic Theater. Or you can catch a local stage production called Gloria. It’s a comedic look at the cut-throat competition that exists in getting the best story first in modern media. It happens tonight at 7:30 inside The Cleveland Public Theater.

Lake Take 2

If you wanna get out and see some Hockey, The Cleveland Monsters are facing off tonight against The Rochester Americans. The puck drops at 7 inside the Quicken Loans Arena. Or if you want something a little bit educational, go to the Science Café over at the Music Box Supper Club. It’s an informal lecture series featuring regional scientists and it all gets started at 7.

Tuesday April 9

Lake Take 1

If you feel like taking in some Jazz tonight, head over to the Westlake High School Performing Arts Center. The renowned One O’Clock Lab Band from the University Of North Texas takes the stage tonight at 7:30. Or you can make your weekend plans now to catch 90’s singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb as she performs at the Neon Room inside the MGM Northfield Park. Showtime is Saturday night at 8.

Lake Take 2

It’s the final home game of The Cavs Season as they take on the Charlotte Hornets down at the Quicken Loans arena. It gets started tonight at 7. Or go see a new stage play called Tiny Houses tonight. It’s about a woman who quits her finance job to go across the country to build a 200 square foot tiny house. Showtime is 7 inside the Outcalt Theater.

Wednesday April 10

You have all day today to check out The Cleveland Botanical Garden’s Amazing Butterflies exhibit. It includes a Butterfly Zip Line, a climbable spider web, educational games and more. It goes from 10 to 9 today and happens all the way through the end of April. Or you can go see Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom Of The Opera down at Playhouse Square. The touring production will be here through April 20th. Showtime is at 7:30 tonight inside the KeyBank State Theater.

Check out Cleveland Stories Dinner Parties. Tonight’s guest is Kelly Falcone Hall, president and CEO of Western Reserve Historical Society. She’ll explain how Cleveland has often fallen on the wrong side of history. Dinner is at 6 and show time is at 7. Or get some laughs with funny guy Pete Correale. He’s been described as a comedian with a New York attitude. He’ll take the stage tonight at 7 down at Hilarities.

Thursday April 11

Go see a stage production of Shakespeare’s The Taming Of The Shrew. The performance, put on by The Great Lakes Theater, starts at 7:30 tonight at the Hanna Theater. Or you can take the family to the IX Indoor Amusement Park. Get your fix of rides and fair food today from 10 to 9. It runs through April 22nd.

Cheer on our Cleveland Monsters as they go up against the Charlotte Checkers tonight at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. The puck drops at 7. The two teams will face off again tomorrow night at 7 as the Monsters wrap up their regular season. Or you can go check out a new play called Tatterhood. It’s a re-imagining of an old Norwegian Fairy tale and it starts at 7:30 tonight at Creative Space at Waterloo Arts.

Friday April 12

Get some culture in tonight at Walkabout Tremont. The theme this time around is “It’s Bloomin’ April”. You can check out some of the best Tremont restaurants, featured art openings, live music and more tonight from 5-10. Or you can enjoy the music of Heart & Fleetwood Mac live without leaving the city. Straight On, A Tribute To The Music Of Heart and The Fleetwood Mac Experience will both be at House of Blues tonight starting at 8.

Lake Take 2

Get your weekend started with Tequila 101. Learn about Tequila and Mezcal and enjoy samples as well as other hand-crafted cocktails. It goes from 6 to 8 tonight at the Western Reserve Distillers. Or you can check out a stage production called The Velocity Of Autumn. It’s a comedy/drama about an 80 year old woman in a showdown with her family on where to spend her golden years. It happens at 7:30 tonight at the Karamu House on the East side.

Saturday April 13

Lake Take 1

Head down to Severance Hall tonight and catch the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. The show is called “Now, That’s Italian!” and will feature music inspired by, you guessed it, Italy. It all goes down tonight starting at 8. Or catch some intimate theater in the round down at the Blank Canvas Theater. The show is called “Art”, and it challenges the true meaning of friendships and what the definition of “art” actually is. It starts at 8 tonight.

Get some laughs in down at Hilarities as New York comic Andrew Schulz performs tonight. He’s been described as equally Idiotic and Hysterical and he’ll do two shows tonight: one at 7 and the other at 9:30. Or you can go see singer songwriter Lisa Loeb. Known for her hit “Stay, I missed You” back in the 90’s, she’ll take the stage at MGM Northfield Park’s Neon Room tonight at 8.
