Coming up this week in Cleveland, Truck Stop Tuesday returns to Crocker Park, The Cleveland Museum Of Art’s MIX event is on Friday, The Indians take on the Seattle Mariners also on Friday night and The Cleveland Flea comes back to Tyler Village on Saturday.

Go catch a screening of the Sci-Fi classic Close Encounters Of The Third Kind over at Severance Hall. That might be an unusual place to see a movie but not when The Cleveland Orchestra plays the score along with the film. It happens today at 3. Or go see a hilarious new play called Native Gardens. It centers on two neighbors in a dispute over a fence and the explosive results as two cultures clash. It starts at 6:30 tonight at the Allen Theater.

Get some trivia in over at the Happy Dog’s Monday Night Trivia. They’ll dole out the headscratchers starting at 8 tonight along with a huge variety of hot dogs and craft beer. Or go see British singer/pianist Tom Odell (oh-dell) as he performs at the House Of Blues tonight. Inspired by the likes of Billy Joel & Elton John, he’ll be onstage tonight at 8.

Catch a movie on the cheap at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theater today. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too. Or make your weekend plans to check out the Screw Factory in Lakewood for their Spring Art Show And Open Studios. From 6-10 Friday night, explore and shop all kinds of local arts and crafts. Admission is free.

If you’re looking to get out tonight, head over to the Winchester Music Tavern in Lakewood for their Open Turntable Tuesdays & Open Mic Night. Bring your own vinyl for them to spin from 6-9 and if you are musically inclined, participate in their Open Mic night happening after 9. Or make your weekend plans now to hit the Cleveland Museum Of Art’s monthly MIX event. The theme this month is Matsuri. Celebrate traditional and contemporary Japanese culture this Friday from 6 to 10.

Check out a new musical down at Playhouse Square tonight called A Bronx Tale. Co-directed by Robert De Niro, it tells the story of young boy from the Bronx who dreams of becoming a mob boss. It starts at 7:30 tonight at the Connor Palace Theater. Or get some local entertainment over at The Happy Dog tonight with their event, Keep Talking: A Storytelling Show. This event features local people telling stories of crazy events in their lives. Sounds random? It is. Find out what it’s all about tonight starting at 7:30.

Head down to the Rock Hall tonight for Woodstock, part of their “Rock Hall Nights” series. From 6-9 tonight you can tour the exhibits, get VIP check-in, play Woodstock trivia and more. Or if you’re over in University Circle this evening, drop by the Cleveland Museum of Art for their Chamber Music In The Galleries event. It features mixed programs of chamber music and it’s free starting at 6.

Get some classical music in tonight over at Severance Hall at The Cleveland Orchestra perform Tschaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. The performance is at 7:30 tonight and beforehand there’s a discussion with tonight’s musical guests starting at 6:30. Or test your knowledge tonight at Pop Culture Trivia over at the Winchester Music Tavern in Lakewood. Prizes for each round and a grand prize is awarded tonight from 7-9.

Jane Scott, the groundbreaking Plain Dealer music columnist, would have been 100 years old today and the Rock Hall is throwing a celebration in her honor. A panel discussion will take place starting at 6 tonight to celebrate her life and legacy. Or you can catch Country music sensation Billy Currington as he comes to the MGM Rocksino tonight. Showtime is at 7:30.

Get out tonight and head to the Cleveland Museum Of Art’s monthly MIX event. The theme this month is Matsuri. Celebrate traditional and contemporary Japanese culture this Friday from 6 to 10. Or go see Million Dollar Quartet produced by The Great Lakes Theater. It’s a recreation of the famous jam session involving Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis & Johnny Cash. It starts at 7:30 tonight at the Hanna Theater.

If you’re a child of the late 80’s and early 90’s, head down to the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to see New Kids on The Block along with Naughty By Nature, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany and Salt N Pepa. Feel like you’re 16 again starting at 8 tonight. Or get a musical history lesson in over at the Near West Theater. They are putting on a local production of the stage musical 1776. It starts at 7:30 tonight.

Lake Take 2

Put some cash in your pocket and head down to The Cleveland Flea. It’s the first one of the year and you can shop all kinds of local vendors down in Tyler Village from 10 to 5 today and 10 to 4 tomorrow. Or take the family to see a stage production of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea. The sci-fi adventure promises a multisensory experience. There’s two shows: one at 11 this morning and another at 2 this afternoon down at the Ohio Theater.
