Coming up this week in Cleveland, The Indians take on the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday at Progressive Field, Dancing Under The Stars also happens on Tuesday, Flat Out Friday is at the East Bank of the Flats and the BAYarts Arts & Music Festival is on Saturday.

There’s a cool event happening tonight called Ocean Soul. Photographer Brian Skerry lived at the bottom of the sea for a while to take over 10 thousand photos of rarely seen ocean life. These photos will be on display and Brian will talk about his experiences tonight at 6:30 inside the Ohio Theater. Or get out and support local theater as the Beck Center For The Arts presents an adaptation of Shakespeare’s royal family tragedy King Lear. The production starts at 3 today with performances through the end of June.

Monday June 10

Lake Take 1

Are you a fan of the blues? Then get out tonight to see The Cleveland Blues Society as they do their Monthly Jam over at Quaker Steak and Lube down in Valley View. The live music goes from 7:30 to 10:30 tonight. Or make your Friday plans now to hit Walkabout Tremont. The theme this month is Walkabout On The Wild Side. Take in some of the best restaurants and galleries in Tremont this Friday evening from 5-10. 

Lake Take 2

Last Call Trivia is doing Lunchtime Trivia at U. S. Bank Plaza from 12:30-1:30 this afternoon. Teams can range from 1 to 8 players and prizes are given out at the end of the event. Or if you want something a little bit educational, go to the Science Café over at the Music Box Supper Club. It’s an informal lecture series featuring regional scientists and it all gets started at 7.

Tuesday June 11

Lake Take 1

Cheer on our Tribe tonight as they go up against the Cincinnati Reds at Progressive Field. First pitch is at 7:10 tonight and they play ‘em again tomorrow afternoon at 1:10. Or go see Dear Evan Hansen. It’s a Tony-Award winning musical about a man who just wants to fit in. It’s been described as “gut-punching, breathtaking and deeply personal” and it starts at 7:10 tonight inside the Connor Palace Theater.

Lake Take 2

The Cleveland Cinematheque is screening an upcoming Netflix documentary called Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese. It follows Dylan’s 1975 tour of more intimate venues and it starts tonight at 7. Or head out to U. S. Bank Plaza for Dancing Under The Stars. There will be swing dance lessons beginning at 6 with dancing continuing on till 9 tonight. 

Wednesday June 12

Lake Take 1

Head out to Akron and go see dancer Derek Hough: Live! The Tour. Derek is an Emmy winning dancer whose range includes Tap, Ballroom, Salsa and more. This is his first solo tour and it starts tonight at 7:30 inside the Akron Civic Center. Or make your weekend plans now to hit Flat Out Friday over at the East Bank of The Flats. There will be live music from Tricky Dick and other outdoor entertainment from 6-11 Friday night.

The Music Box Supper Club is hosting an event tonight called Family Reflections: Authors Tell Their Stories. It’s a collection of various Cleveland authors who share their stories of adoption, foster care, kinship care and more. It starts tonight at 6 and benefits Adoption Network Cleveland. Or go pick up some fruits and veggies grown by local vendors at the North Union Farmers Market down at U.S. Bank Plaza. It goes from 4-7 today.

Thursday June 13

Lake Take 1

Get out tonight and head down to Edgewater beach for Edgewater Live. Expect live music, games, drinks, food and more starting at 4:30 and running through 9 tonight. Or you could go to the Avon Heritage Duck Tape Festival. The 16th annual even starts today and goes all weekend down at Veterans Memorial Park and features beer, music, food and, yep, Duck Tape. It happens from 4 to 10 today. 

Lake Take 2

If you looking for some good clean laughs, look no further than Jeff Allen. The rapid-fire comedian will be spinning tales on marriage, living with teenagers and more down at Hilarities tonight starting at 7. He’ll do other shows this weekend too. Or catch Ragtime: The Musical. It’s the tale of three families in search of the American Dream and it gets started at 7 tonight over at Cain Park.

Friday June 14

Lake Take 1

Get out tonight and head down to Flat Out Friday over at the East Bank of The Flats. There will be live music from Tricky Dick and other outdoor entertainment starting at 6 tonight. Or you can hit Walkabout Tremont. The theme this month is Walkabout On The Wild Side and you can check out some of the best Tremont restaurants, featured art openings, live music and more tonight from 5-10.

Lake Take 2

If you feel like spending the evening outdoors, then get out to Euclid Beach Live. It goes from 6-9 and features live music, local arts, food trucks and more down at Euclid Beach Park. Or you can head to the KeyBank State Theater for Family Feud: The Celebrity Edition. Audience members will be randomly selected to participate and you can also win prizes without even leaving your seat. It all goes down at 8 tonight.

Saturday June 15

Lake Take 1

If you’re a fan of live music, then go see all kinds of it today at Larchmere Porchfest. There will be 30 bands on 30 different porches playing on the east side. It all starts at 1 today and is completely free. And if you’re a fan of Hot Dogs, then you can’t miss Hot Dog Fest happening today outside The Happy Dog down on Detroit Road. There will be a hot dog eating contest, live music, a dunk tank and more hot dogs than you can handle. It starts at 2 today and goes till midnight.

Lake Take 2

Go check out the BayARTS Arts & Music Festival today. There will be more than 70 vendors with food, handmade items, kids art and lots more. It runs from 10-4 today down at Bay Arts in Bay Village. Or you can head to The Hooley on Kamms Corners for their annual street festival today. There’s crafts, live music, dancing and plenty of family fun today from noon to 8 tonight.
