Lake Take 1

Coming up this week in Cleveland, The Musical Come From Away continues at Playhouse Square on Tuesday, Night Market Cleveland happens in Asia Town this Friday, Hootie & The Blowfish hit Blossom Music Center also on Friday and Tremont Ale Fest happens in Lincoln Park in Tremont on Saturday.

Go head over to Taste Of Tremont today. Nearby Tremont restaurants will be setting up lots booths with food to sample. There will be craft beer, live music, DJ’s and more along Professor avenue today from noon to 8. Or get some laughs in and go see comedian Chad Thornsberry. He likes to poke fun at his rural upbringing and accent as well as pointing out the humor in everyday situations. He’ll be on stage tonight at 7 inside Hilarities at Pickwick & Frolic.

Monday July 22

Lake Take 1

If you’re looking for some comedy tonight, head over to Great Lakes Brewing Company. Bill Squire, from our sister station WMMS, will be on hand for Craft Laughs. It’s a weekly stand-up event showcasing upcoming local comedians. It all goes down starting at 8. Or catch a movie on the cheap tonight at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theater. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too.

Last Call Trivia is doing Lunchtime Trivia at U. S. Bank Plaza from 12:30-1:30 this afternoon. Teams can range from 1 to 8 players and prizes are given out at the end of the event. Or make your future lunch plans to hit Walnut Wednesday over at Perk Plaza at Chester Commons. There will be loads of food trucks on hand from 11 to 1:30 this Wednesday.

Tuesday July 23

Head out to U. S. Bank Plaza for Dancing Under The Stars. There will be swing dance lessons beginning at 6 with dancing continuing on till 9 tonight. Or make your weekend plans to hit Night Market Cleveland over in Asia town. Expect plenty of food, local vendors, live music and more from 5 to 11 Friday night.

Lake Take 2

Take in a little theater tonight with the Oberlin Summer Theater Festival. Tonight, there will be a performance of Shakespeare’s Long Day’s Journey Into The Night. The acclaimed stage production will start at 7 tonight inside the Hall Auditorium in Oberlin. Or make your weekend plans to go see Hootie & The Blowfish with special guests Barenaked Ladies over at Blossom. The band’s Group Therapy Tour will get underway at 7:30 this Friday night.

Wednesday July 24

Lake Take 1

Go see the KeyBank Broadway Series’ latest musical called Come From Away. It centers on 7,000 stranded passengers who are welcomed by a small town called Gander. Cultures clash but soon evolve into trust and true friendships. It starts tonight at 7:30 with performances through the end of the month. Or if you’re a Talking Heads fan, get over to the Capitol Theater on the west side for their screening of their classic 1984 Jonathan Demme directed concert film Stop Making Sense. It screens at 7:30 tonight.

Lake Take 2

If you’re looking for a little desert after dinner tonight, head over to Blank Canvas CLE over at the Cedar Lee Business disctrict for Pie-A-Thon 2019. Sample homemade pies, cakes and other confections from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight. It all goes to benefit The Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Or go see Lyle Lovett and his Large Band over at Cain Park. He’ll go through his eclectic repertoire of country, swing, blues and more starting at 8 tonight.

Thursday July 25

Lake Take 1

Check out the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for their Asian Lantern Festival tonight. View the more than 40 all-new lantern displays along with live music happening from 6:30 to 10 tonight.Or if you’re a fan of beer, make plans to attend the Tremont Ale Fest this weekend. There will be over 50 breweries sampling their latest beers along with live music, food vendors and more. It goes from noon to 5 this Saturday.

Lake Take 2

Head down to Edgewater beach for Edgewater Live. Expect live music, games, drinks, food and more starting at 4:30 and running through 9 tonight. Or take in some classic swing music tonight over at the Music Box Supper Club. Louis Prima Jr. will be continuing his father’s legacy of high energy big band music starting at 7:30 tonight.

Friday July 26

Lake Take 1

Go hit Night Market Cleveland tonight over in Asia town. Expect plenty of food, local vendors, live music and more from 5 to 11 tonight. Or if you’re a fan of Akron New Wave legends Devo, head over to Beachland Tavern for Devotional 2019. The two-day celebration of all things Devo gets started tonight at 6 and tomorrow at 2 with multiple tribute bands, Q&A sessions, raffles and more.

Hootie & The Blowfish are rolling into town with their Group Therapy Tour tonight along with special guests Barenaked Ladies. The music will get started tonight at 7:30 over at Blossom Music Center. Or get out to Euclid Beach Live over at Euclid Beach Park. It goes from 6-9 and features live music, local arts, food trucks and more.

Saturday July 27

Lake Take 1

Get out to Playhouse Square and see some modern dance as the Philadelphia Dance Company, Ballet X, make their Cleveland debut tonight. This unique dance troupe specialize in challenging the boundaries of modern Ballet. It starts at 7:30 tonight at the Mimi Ohio Theater. Or do some dancing of your own down at U.S. Bank Plaza for their Silent Disco Dance Party. Choose from 3 channels of party music while wearing headphones tonight from 9 to midnight.

Lake Take 2

Are you a fan of Beer? Then go attend the Tremont Ale Fest today. There will be over 50 vendors sampling their latest brews along with live music, food vendors and more. It goes from noon to 5. Or head down to Blossom for a little Classical music tonight. The Cleveland Orchestra along with the Kent Blossom Chamber Orchestra will be performing Elgar’s Enigma starting at 7 tonight.
