Coming up this week in Cleveland, The Cuyahoga County Fair gets underway on Tuesday, Disney’s The Lion King happens at the State Theater on Wednesday, The Browns play their first pre-game of the season against The Redskins on Thursday and Flat Out Friday also happens this week.

It’s a great night to be a rock fan in Cleveland. You could head out to Blossom to see Heart on their Love Alive Tour. Joan Jett will open the show and it starts tonight at 7. Or you could go to House Of Blues to see ex-Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley. That show starts tonight at 7.

If you’re looking for some comedy tonight, head over to Great Lakes Brewing Company. Bill Squire, from our sister station WMMS, will be on hand for Craft Laughs. It’s a weekly stand-up event showcasing upcoming local comedians. It all goes down starting at 8. Or make your weekend plans now to hit Flat Out Friday over at the East Bank of The Flats. There will be live music from The Spazmatics and other outdoor entertainment from 6-11 Friday night.

Last Call Trivia is doing Lunchtime Trivia at U. S. Bank Plaza from 12:30-1:30 this afternoon. Teams can range from 1 to 8 players and prizes are given out at the end of the event. Or make your lunch plans to hit Truck Stop Tuesday over at Crocker Park. Some of Cleveland’s best local food trucks will be doling out the goods from 11 to 2 tomorrow.

The Cuyahoga County Fair kicks off today over at the Cuyahoga County Fairground Berea. Expect rides, games, fair food, live music and more from noon to 11 today and running through Sunday. Or you could head out to U. S. Bank Plaza for Dancing Under The Stars. There will be swing dance lessons beginning at 6 with dancing continuing on till 9 tonight.

Disney’s The Lion King makes a stop in Cleveland for the month of August and the first show is tonight. The curtain drops at 7:30 inside the KeyBank State Theater. Or if you’re a classic rock fan, head over to The Capitol Theater as they screen Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church. The film catches the legendary guitarist as he performs at the 1970 Atlanta Pop Festival. Showtime is at 7:30.

Get out tonight and head to the Rock Hall for their Summer In The City concert series. It’s a 5-week event happening at the Rock Hall Plaza tonight at 7 with indie act Sunflower Bean taking the stage. There will be a bar, an all-access café and food trucks as well. Or get some local entertainment over at The Happy Dog tonight with their event, Keep Talking: A Storytelling Show. This event features local people telling stories of crazy events in their lives. Sounds random? It is. Find out what it’s all about tonight starting at 7:30.

He’ll be onstage tonight at 7.Or get out to Blossom to see Peter Frampton on his final tour. Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening will open the show starting at 7:30.

Or get out to The Westlake Music Festival. It’s a family-friendly event with food, drinks and continuous live music from 2 – 8 today over at the Public Porter Library. The event is free of charge.
