Coming up this week in Cleveland, The classic musical, The Music Man, opens on Friday, Night Market Cleveland is also on Friday, Ingenuity Fest 2019 happens all weekend long and the Tremont Arts and Cultural Festival is on Saturday.

The Browns take on The LA Rams today at First Energy Stadium at 8:20 tonight. Tickets are sold out so you’ll have look a little harder to find them. Or just catch it on the big screen as one of the many taverns downtown. Or you can catch the 80’s new wave act Berlin over at the House Of Blues tonight. Hear their hits “Take My Breath Away”, “No More Words” and more tonight starting at 8.

If you’re looking for some comedy tonight, head over to Great Lakes Brewing Company. Bill Squire, from our sister station WMMS, will be on hand for Craft Laughs. It’s a weekly stand-up event showcasing upcoming local comedians. It all goes down starting at 8. Or catch a movie on the cheap tonight at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theater. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too.

Make your weekend plans now to catch IngenuityFest 2019 Dreamscapes.It’s a three-day festival, dubbed “A Creative Feast, loaded with art exhibitions, live music, local speakers, vendors and more. It kicks off Friday night at 6. Or go hit Night Market Cleveland over in Asia town. Expect plenty of food, local vendors, live music and more from 5 to 11 Friday night.

Tuesday September 24

Lake Take 1

Head out to The Capitol Theater in Gordon Square for “ZZ Top That Little Ol’ Band From Texas”.It’s a warts-and-all documentary of how the three bluesman sought to take Texas culture to the rest of the world. It screens tonight at 7:30. Or make plans now to catch the classic Tony-Winning Musical, The Music Man, down at Playhouse Square.The Great Lakes Theater production will open this Friday down at the Hanna Theater at 7:30.

Lake Take 2

Stone Temple Pilots make a stop in Cleveland tonight at The Agora. Expect to hear all their best-known songs as well as song new ones. The show starts at 7. Or go see a new stage production starts tonight called Into The Breeches. Presented by the Cleveland Playhouse, it’s a comedy centering around a group of women, with little stage experience, who are determined to put on an all-female version of Shakespeare’s Henry the 4th and 5th. It starts tonight at 7 inside the Allen Theater. 

Wednesday September 25

Lake Take 1

Get some culture in today and check out The Cleveland Museum Of Art’s new exhibit, “Michelangelo: Mind Of The Master”. Over two dozen of the legendary artist’s rarely-seen sketches will be on display today from 10 to 9. Or catch the classic progressive rock outfit King Crimson as they hit the MGM Rocksino tonight. The show starts at 7:30 tonight.

Get some Cleveland Baseball history in at Cleveland Stories Dinner Parties tonight. Author Mark Sommer will recount interviews and stories about Iconic Cleveland Indians slugger Rocky Colavito. The story telling starts promptly at 7 tonight. Or try something different tonight and go to Alpaca Yoga down at Vintage Alpacas over in Brooklyn Heights. Get some rest and relaxation in amongst the Alpacas from 6:30 – 8:30 tonight.

Thursday September 26

Take in some intense classical music tonight as The Cleveland Orchestra performs Mahler’s Fifth Symphony. Described as a love letter to Mahler’s wife, it’s known to be one of the most passionate and thrilling symphonies in classical music. It starts tonight at 7:30. Or make your Saturday plans now to check out the Tremont Arts And Cultural Festival. There will be more than 130 vendors with art, jewelry and more along with food, drink, live music and a children’s village. It takes place in Tremont’s Lincoln Park Saturday from noon to 7 and Sunday from noon to 5.

Hate to say it, but winter’s not that far away. So get in the spirit with Ski Fest which kicks off tonight at the Buckeye Sports Center in Peninsula. There will be a fashion show with all kinds of winter-wear on display, live music, drinks and more starting at 6 tonight and going all weekend long. Or head to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame to see their Woodstock At 50 exhibit. Check out memorabilia from that landmark music festival today from 10 to 5:30. Can’t make it today? Or head to the Near West Theater on Detroit Avenue to catch a local production of The Addams Family, just in time for the Halloween season. It starts tonight at 7:30.

Saturday September 28

Lake Take 1

Go see veteran comic Kathleen Madigan as she brings her Hot Dogs And Angels tour to Playhouse Square tonight. Kathleen has been on The Tonight Show over 25 times in her 30 year career and most recently was on Jerry Seinfeld’s series Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. She’ll be onstage tonight at 8 inside the Mimi Ohio Theater. Or get out to the Tremont Arts And Cultural Festival. There will be more than 130 vendors with art, jewelry and more along with food, drink, live music and a children’s village. It takes place in Tremont’s Lincoln Park today from noon to 7 and tomorrow from noon to 5.

Avon Lake Beer Fest 2019 happens today over at Miller Road Park. From 1 to 7 today, check out local and regional brewers sampling their best seasonal selections along with food, live music, games, raffles and even activities for the kids.
