Coming up this week in Cleveland, Summer – The Donna Summer Musical opens at Playhouse Square on Tuesday, Styx play MGM Northfield Park on Thursday, The Monsters are back on the ice for their first Home game this Friday and The International Cat Show happens at the IX Center this Saturday.

Get out today and hit up German Day Cleveland 2019. There will be plenty of German food, music, fun and kids games from 1 to 6 today at German Central in Parma. Or get down to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse for Jurassic World. It’s a production featuring more than 24 film-accurate dinosaurs including some that are more than 40 feet in length. It’s a live experience unlike any other. There’s 3 shows today: one at 11, another at 3 and the last one tonight at 7.

If you’re looking for some comedy tonight, head over to Great Lakes Brewing Company. Bill Squire, from our sister station WMMS, will be on hand for Craft Laughs. It’s a weekly stand-up event showcasing upcoming local comedians and it all goes down starting at 8. Or get down to the Cuyahoga County Public Library in Strongsville For Mistaken Monsters. The staff from the Greater Cleveland Aquarium will discuss many aquatic species we know today who were once mistaken as sea monsters. It goes from 7-8 tonight.

Get a little morbid Cleveland history in tonight at the Mentor Public Library.In discussion tonight will be the infamous Torso Murders from back in the 1930’s. It’s part of their Month Of Mystery and it starts at 6:30 tonight. Or catch a movie on the cheap tonight at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theater. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too.

A new musical opens tonight in Playhouse Square called Summer – The Donna Summer Musical. It charts the singer’s rise from her Boston roots to become one of the biggest chart topping singers of the 20th Century. The curtain drops at 7:30 tonight inside the Connor Palace Theater. Or catch comedian, podcaster, TV host and actor Theo Von down at the Masonic Auditorium tonight. He used to be on MTV’s Road Rules and now has one of the country’s fastest growing podcasts called This Past Weekend. He takes the stage tonight at 7.

Sharpen your brain along with some alcohol consumption by hitting Geeks Who Drink over at the Great Lakes Brewing Company. From 8 to 10 tonight they’ll be doling out the headscratchers along with plenty of beer and food to go along. Prizes are awarded to first and second place winners. Or celebrate the late John Lennon’s birthday by heading down to the Beachland Ballroom for John Lennon Remembered.6 different bands will pay tribute to the former Beatle tonight starting at 6:30.

He has three Comedy Central Specials and has been featured on Top Gear U.S. and is also a cast member of FX’s Rescue Me and Showtime’s series Nurse Jackie. It’s their first home game of the season and there will be a special magnet giveaway to the first 10,000 people through the door. It’s also 1-2-3 Friday with $1 Pepsi products, $2 Sugardale hot dogs and $3 select beer specials. The puck drops at 7. Or head to Severance Hall as The Cleveland Orchestra performs Brahms Symphony Number 3. The music starts at 8 tonight and tomorrow night as well.

The Local dance company will be joined by a guest choreographer to perform some of the dance company’s most acclaimed works. It all starts at 7:30 tonight.

Get some musical history in tonight down at the Ohio Theater in Playhouse Square with Blues Skies: Irving Berlin and The American Dream. The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra and the Musical Theater Project pay tribute to Berlin’s most famous works including “God Bless America”, “Easter Parade” and more. The music starts tonight at 8. Or if you’re near Canton, you could check out their Canton Hops and Harvest Festival. Sample more than 100 beers from all over Ohio and you can also check out local food trucks and restaurants who will dole out the goods today with two sessions: one from 1-4 and another from 6-9 down at the Canton Memorial Civic Center.
