Sunday October 27

Lake Take 1

Coming up this week in Cleveland, The Cavs take on Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, Into The Woods continues at the Allen Theater on Thursday, The Monsters play at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Friday and Chelsea Handler will be at MGM Northfield Park on Saturday.

Lake Take 2

Grab the family and head down to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium for Captain Neo’s Hauntaquarium. Dress up the kids and get full Aquarium access, a dance party, trick or treating, slime making, photo ops and more activities. It goes from 6 – 9 tonight. It’s also the last day to take the family to the IX Center’s Trick Or Treat Street. There will loads of candy stations, live entertainment, amusement park rides and more. Costumes are encouraged and the event goes today from 11 – 7.

Monday October 28

Lake Take 1

Get some trivia in over at the Happy Dog’s Monday Night Trivia. They’ll dole out the headscratchers starting at 8 tonight along with a huge variety of hot dogs and craft beer. Or catch a movie on the cheap tonight at a participating Cleveland Cinemas Theater. They'll have $5 movie tickets and discounted concession items too.

Lake Take 2

Go see the next generation of Broadway stars hit the stage at Nighttown over on the East Side with the Baldwin Wallace Musical Theater. The cast of The Great Lakes Theater’s The Music Man will be on hand to sing various classic musical numbers starting at 7 tonight. Or get out and go see the Skatch Anderssen Big Band at Brothers Lounge. The music and dancing starts tonight at 8.

Tuesday October 29

Lake Take 1

If you’re a Grateful Dead fan, head over to Beachland Ballroom for Live Dead ’69. Various musicians from The Dead and related bands will be performing Grateful Dead classics live beginning at 8 tonight. Or make your Friday plans now to catch the Cleveland Monsters as they take on Charlotte at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. It’s a 3-2-1 Friday with concession specials and the puck drops at 7.

Lake Take 2

Sharpen your brain along with some alcohol consumption by hitting Geeks Who Drink over at the Great Lakes Brewing Company. From 8 to 10 tonight they’ll be doling out the headscratchers along with plenty of beer and food to go along. Prizes are awarded to first and second place winners. Or if you want a little country tonight, go see 90’s singer-songwriter Travis Tritt as he makes his way to MGM Northfield Park. He’ll take the stage at 7:30 tonight.

Wednesday October 30

Lake Take 1

Cheer on the Cavs as they take on the Chicago Bulls tonight at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Tipoff is at 7. Or if you’re into classic Heavy Metal, head over to Now That’s Class to see Pentagram. They were the subject of a documentary a few years back called Last Days Here. There’s two openers and the show starts at 8.

Lake Take 2

Get in creep-out mode tonight at the Capitol Theater over in Gordon Square. They’ll be screening the classic Hitchcock film Psycho. There will be a pre-screening cocktail party at 6 with the movie showing at 7 tonight. Or head to the Music Box Supper Club for Cleveland Stories Dinner Parties. Tonight’s speakers will be Magician and Hypnotist Magic Mike and Jessica Oktober, who runs the haunted House Of Wills over on the east side. They’ll be spinning all sorts of spooky takes beginning at 7 tonight.

Thursday October 31

Lake Take 1

Go see the classic Arthur Miller play Death Of A Salesman put on by Tri-C over at the Ohio Theater tonight. The show starts at 7:30 with performances through Saturday. Or head over to the Agora Theater to catch Michael Franti & Spearhead. The uplifting singer-songwriter blends roots, rock, hip-hop, reggae and more and the music starts at 8 tonight.

Lake Take 2

Catch a performance of the hit musical Into the Woods, over at the Allen Theater down in Playhouse Square. This twist on classic fairytales will start at 7:30. Or head over to Music Box Supper Club for a night of Reggae music called Music Feeds People. Local act Carlos Jones will be there among other reggae musicians starting at 7 with proceeds benefitting the All Faith’s Pantry of Cleveland.

Friday November 1

Lake Take 1

The Cleveland Monsters will be playing down at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse tonight at 7 against Charlotte. It’s also 1-2-3 Friday with $1 Pepsi products, $2 Sugardale hot dogs and $3 select beer specials. Or go see a local production of the classic play The Member Of The Wedding. It chronicles inter-racial relationships in the American South and it starts at 8 tonight inside the Beck Center For The Arts.

Lake Take 2

Grab some laughs tonight down at Hilarities with comic Ryan Dalton. The Cleveland native will muse on many topics including all things infuriating in today’s World. He hits the stage at 7 with performances through the weekend. Or head over to Severance Hall for Cleveland Pops: Wonderful Music Of Oz. The Cleveland Pops Orchestra will be performance numbers from The Wizard Of Oz beginning at 8 tonight.

Saturday November 2

Lake Take 1

Go see comic Chelsea Handler as she takes the stage at MGM Northfield Park. Chelsea returns to the stand-up circuit with her Life Will Be The Death Of Me tour and the show starts at 8 tonight. Or go see a live stage production of Shakespeare’s classic play Julius Caesar down at Playhouse Square. Presented by Great Lakes Theater, the politically-charged drama starts tonight at 7:30 inside the Hanna Theater.

Lake Take 2

The Cleveland Public Theater is putting on a Dia De Muertos celebration today. This family-friendly event is a celebration of those who have passed and is a treasured holiday in Mexico and Latin America. There will food, art, live music and more from 11 to 10 today. Or if you’re a midnight movie fan, go see The Rocky Horror Picture show. The cult classic hits the screen at the Cedar lee theater at, you guessed it, midnight tonight!
